Changing the oil is a pretty complicated task but if done carefully, it won’t be messy. For women who are trying this for first time, make sure before you begin for the task you’ve proper tools. Check for the tools that you’ll require for removing the filter oil and the drain plug and also a container for draining the used oil.

Make sure you’ve a safe area which is leveled or a solid ground for changing the oil of your car. Women need to be very much aware before starting it. First of all see that the engine is cold; avoid changing the oil when the engine is hot as it will burn your hand badly. Prior getting under the car, women should turn off the engine; wheels should be blocked and also set the parking brakes. If you’re not much sure about what you’re doing, remove your owner’s manual and follow the instructions.

First remove the drain plug which is at the bottom of the engine’s oil pan and let the used oil drain in a container. Follow the instructions on the oil filter and then replace the drain plug, but don’t forget to check whether it’s tight. Pour oil carefully or refer the manual for exactly how much oil is to be filled; don’t overfill it. In a spacious area, start the engine with parking brakes set and see the oil pressure light. Remember that the oil pressure light must go out after a few seconds of time and allow the engine to run for some time.

When turning off the engine, check for the oil level and also the leakage through oil filter as well as drain plugs. Note down the mileage, date, brand and grade of the installed motor oil for summarizing your next oil change. Now pour the used oil from the container to any recycling container.

Finally, you are successfully done with changing the oil of your car by yourself. Now it’s easily possible for women to change the engine oil without taking huge pains. Changing the engine oil is no more a big task for women as they can also do it easily.
